I’m honored to be returning as a teaching artist for the 4th Annual Day of Belonging, presented by Mission Belonging & Strathmore. This full day of connection, creativity & celebration brings together Veterans, Active Duty Military, spouses, caregivers & community members for a day rooted in this year’s theme: Joy.
I’ll be leading an Artist Trading Cards (ATC) station at the retreat. ATCs are tiny works of art, just 2.5” x 3.5”, traded hand to hand between artists rather than sold. Using collage, recycled ephemera & mark-making, participants will create their own set of cards to keep or trade with someone new. It’s a low-pressure, come-and-go way to make something meaningful in just a few minutes & a great way to break the ice with someone you haven’t met yet.
