Torn Paper Blooms

  • UpCycle Creative Reuse Center 2397 South Dove Street Alexandria, VA 22314 United States (map)

May 31 | 1pm-3pm

UpCycle Creative Reuse Center | Alexandria, VA

No paintbrush required — just your hands, some scrap paper, and a flower you love. In this hands-on workshop, I’ll guide you through building a lush, textured floral composition on a recycled canvas using torn and layered scrap papers. You’ll sketch your chosen flower as a guide, then fill it in with collaged pieces of painted papers, book pages, wallpaper scraps, and more — building up petals, leaves, and stems layer by layer. The result is a finished, frameable piece of art made almost entirely from rescued materials. Need inspiration? I’ll have reference prints on hand and botanical illustration resources to help you find your bloom.

No experience needed. All skill levels welcome.
